Archimede Seguso, “Owl”

Unique abstract glass object “Owl” by Archimede Seguso (1909 – 1999). A specialized type of glass that exhibits thermochromic properties, changing color in response to temperature fluctuations. This behavior is reminiscent of the optical effects seen in alexandrite gemstones. Changes color under different light sources: Green/blueish in daylight. Reddish/purplish under artificial light (incandescent bulb).
